Purpose

University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis (UHSP) adheres to a Course Material Adoption Policy to demonstrate its compliance with both the letter and the spirit of the course material provisions (Section 133) in the Higher Education Opportunities Act (HEOA) of 2008. Among other provisions of this federal law, it requires that course materials and their costs be identified to students at the time of course registration. This provision enables students to be fully aware of the full cost of attending a course while providing them with ample time to explore other avenues for obtaining their course materials. UHSP complies with this provision by providing course material information by stated deadlines to its bookstore partner eCampus, which maintains a dedicated UHSP online bookstore website. Course material information provided by the bookstore to students includes ISBNs and retail pricing for all formats available through the bookstore vendor.
