The works housed in this collection, including scholarly articles, publications, papers, books, presentations and more, are produced by the Department of Basic Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at UHSP.
The Department of Basic Sciences is dedicated to delivering an exceptional science education. At the core of its mission is the cultivation of a scientific mindset among students, through laboratory activities and research experiences, to acquire knowledge and learn to think critically and innovatively like scientists.
Research within the departments covers a diverse range of health-related areas, including microbial virulence, developmental disabilities, drug discovery, ecology and health, and tissue aging.
