Purpose

University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis Hearing Conservation Program has been established to meet the requirements of The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) General Industry Standard “Occupational Exposure to Noise” Part 1910.95. Evidence is well established that worker exposure to noise of sufficient intensity and duration can result in hearing damage.

The primary goal of the Hearing Conservation Program is to reduce, and eventually eliminate to the extent possible, hearing loss due to workplace noise exposures.
