About this Collection
The works housed in this collection, including scholarly articles, publications, papers, books, presentations and more, are produced by the Department of Liberal Arts in the College of Arts and Sciences at UHSP.
The Liberal Arts Department is a vibrant multidisciplinary department featuring a variety of humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and fine arts faculty who focus on understanding and promoting human health and wellbeing. The academic disciplines represented include anthropology, communication, film, history, literature, music, philosophy, psychology, sociology and writing. In addition, the department features a music and theatre program with public performances each semester.
Department faculty conduct research in the humanities and social and behavioral sciences on a variety of topics, including gender and health, film criticism, popular culture, medical and pharmacy history, and physician-patient communication to name a few.
